Catering Delivery Driver Fully Remote - US

Catering Delivery Driver

Part Time • Fully Remote - US

Mia’s Table Catering Driver

Position Summary

The Catering Driver is an important part of the Mia’s Table Catering Team and is responsible for delivering catering orders accurately, safely, on time, and with genuine Southern hospitality.

Our Catering Drivers are often the final Mia’s Table team member our catering guests interact with, so every delivery should leave a great impression. This position is responsible for verifying orders before leaving the restaurant, safely transporting food and supplies, delivering to the correct location, assisting with setup when required, and ensuring the guest has everything needed to enjoy their Mia’s Table catering experience.

The ideal Catering Driver is dependable, organized, friendly, professional, and understands that presentation and hospitality matter just as much as getting the food there on time.

Essential Responsibilities

Before the Delivery

  • Arrive on time and prepared for all scheduled catering deliveries.

  • Review catering order details, delivery instructions, guest contact information, and requested delivery time.

  • Work with the Catering Lead and restaurant team to ensure the entire order is ready before departure.

  • Verify food, beverages, sides, sauces, dressings, utensils, plates, napkins, serving utensils, and any other requested items against the catering order.

  • Ensure hot and cold food is packaged and transported properly.

  • Load catering orders carefully to prevent spills, damage, shifting, or incorrect temperatures during transportation.

  • Confirm that all necessary catering equipment and setup supplies are included before leaving the restaurant.

Delivery & Setup

  • Deliver catering orders safely and on time to the correct location.

  • Follow all delivery and guest instructions provided with the order.

  • Communicate promptly with the Catering Lead or restaurant if there is a delay, problem locating the guest, missing item, accident, or other issue that could affect the delivery.

  • Greet every catering guest warmly and professionally.

  • Carry catering orders into the designated delivery or setup area when required.

  • Set up catering orders neatly and professionally according to Mia’s Table standards.

  • Arrange food, serving utensils, plates, napkins, beverages, condiments, and other supplies so the order is organized and ready for the guest.

  • Review the order with the guest when appropriate and make sure they have everything they need before leaving.

  • Thank the guest for choosing Mia’s Table.

Hospitality & Professionalism

A Mia’s Table Catering Driver is more than a driver — you are representing Mia’s Table outside of our restaurants.

Catering Drivers are expected to:

  • Be friendly, welcoming, helpful, and professional with every guest.

  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance.

  • Follow Mia’s Table uniform and grooming standards.

  • Treat offices, businesses, schools, venues, and other delivery locations with respect.

  • Maintain a positive attitude even when dealing with traffic, difficult delivery locations, schedule changes, or unexpected situations.

  • Never argue with a guest. Any guest concern should be handled with hospitality and immediately communicated to a manager or Catering Lead.

  • Protect the Mia’s Table brand by representing our standards of Food, Service, Cleanliness, Energy & Enthusiasm wherever you go.

Food Safety & Order Care

  • Follow all Mia’s Table food safety and sanitation procedures.

  • Maintain proper separation of hot and cold food during transportation.

  • Handle all catering packaging and food carefully.

  • Keep catering bags, transport equipment, and delivery supplies clean and organized.

  • Never leave food unattended in an unsafe or unsecured location.

  • Immediately report spills, damaged packaging, missing food, incorrect items, or temperature concerns.

Vehicle & Driving Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

  • Must maintain a safe driving record.

  • Must have reliable transportation suitable for transporting catering orders when a personal vehicle is required.

  • Must maintain current automobile insurance as required by law.

  • Must obey all traffic laws and practice safe driving at all times.

  • Must never text, use a handheld phone, or engage in unsafe distracted driving while operating a vehicle.

  • Vehicle used for catering deliveries must be clean and free of conditions that could negatively affect food safety or presentation.

Physical Requirements

Catering Drivers must be able to:

  • Lift and carry catering bags, boxes, beverages, and supplies weighing approximately 40–50 pounds.

  • Carry orders reasonable distances from the vehicle to the delivery location.

  • Bend, reach, lift, load, and unload catering equipment and food.

  • Stand and walk for extended periods when assisting with catering preparation or setup.

  • Safely maneuver carts or other catering equipment when provided.

Qualifications

  • Must be dependable and punctual.

  • Strong attention to detail and order accuracy.

  • Excellent communication and guest service skills.

  • Ability to work independently and make good decisions while away from the restaurant.

  • Ability to follow written delivery instructions and use GPS/navigation applications.

  • Comfortable communicating directly with catering guests.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

  • Previous restaurant, catering, delivery, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.

Scheduling & Availability

Catering business can vary from day to day. Catering Drivers must have flexibility based on scheduled orders and may be needed during mornings, lunches, evenings, weekdays, weekends, or for special events.

Drivers are expected to arrive with enough time to review, verify, load, and depart with their assigned catering order so that the guest receives their order at the promised time — not when the driver leaves the restaurant.

Our Standard

At Mia’s Table, a successful catering delivery means more than getting food from Point A to Point B.

Right Order. Right Place. Right Time. Beautifully Presented. Delivered with Southern Hospitality.

Every catering order is an opportunity to earn the guest’s next order. Our Catering Drivers help make sure the experience outside our restaurants reflects the same care, hospitality, and quality our guests expect inside Mia’s Table.

This is a remote position.
